Green Gariep Global is a community-rooted Public Benefit Organisation building decentralized waste sorting and recovery hubs - digital systems and on-site teams that factionate every waste stream (organic, construction & demolition, recyclables) and route each one to its highest-value end use.
The Opportunity
A circular economy, built from the ground up - by the community, for the community.
The majority of what enters a typical municipal landfill never needed to be there - organic fractions, construction & demolition rubble, recyclables and recoverable electronics, all mixed together and buried as a single liability.
We intercept those streams at source. Trained on-site teams, backed by a real-time digital audit layer, factionate every load and route each fraction to its highest recoverable use - from biochar and compost to crushed aggregate and baled recyclate.
The result is a self-reinforcing loop: cleaner landfills, recovered material value, skilled local jobs, and a transparent, fully audited waste and carbon ledger.
How It Works
Four operational stages. One factioned waste system, applied across every stream.
Currently operational as a pilot hub at the Siyathemba Municipality landfill in Prieska - and built from day one to be replicated across other municipalities, mining communities and industrial sites.

Stream Processing
Each fraction routes to its own processing line - low-emission pyrolysis and composting for organics, crushing and recovery for construction & demolition waste, baling for recyclables.

Digital Auditing
A proprietary mobile app logs every ton, every fraction and every destination - landfill airspace saved, carbon sequestered and material recovery rates, all auditable in real time.

Value Distribution
Finished outputs - biochar and compost, recovered aggregate, baled recyclate - are routed to farmers, contractors and off-takers, turning a municipal liability into community-scale value.
